Something I learned today

Three surprising facts I learned today:

- Three minutes after the Kennedy assassination, longtime TV newsman Robert MacNeil apparently bumped into Lee Harvey Oswald exiting the Texas School Book Depository, and asked him where the nearest phone was.

- Africa has just one telephone land line for every 33 people, but one in 11 Africans is a mobile phone subscriber.

- Ted Williams was excluded from Major League Baseball's Latino Legends balloting, although his mother was Mexican.
